About The Position

Collins Aerospace is looking to hire a skilled and motivated Software Engineer to support the Mission Systems Resilient Connectivity Products (RCP) organization at the GETC Puerto Rico location. This role involves contributing to the engineering development and execution of important programs that enable our RCP product lines. In this role you will participate in software engineering activities that design, develop, integrate, test, and maintain software solutions for various communication systems products. This position will sit at our Aguadilla, PR location. You must be residing in Puerto Rico at the time of starting employment. Relocation is not offered. This role is categorized as hybrid, with 3 days onsite and 2 days remote following the schedule assigned by the Manager.

Requirements

  • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and less than 2 years prior relevant experience
  • Demonstrated professional experience communicating in English (verbal and written).
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.

Nice To Haves

  • Educational knowledge and project application on software development using Linux and/or C++, including debugging, integration, and deployment on software platforms.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies.
  • Knowledge in basic Linux shell scripting, Python or Perl
  • Working knowledge of programming languages such as C++ or C#
  • Software level debugging experience.
  • Experience with Database technologies
  • Familiarity with Git, Jira, Bitbucket, Confluence, and Coverity.

Responsibilities

  • Software Development: Design, develop, and enhance software solutions for communication and cyber intelligence systems with guidance.
  • Testing: Test software in an Agile development environment.
  • Collaboration: Work directly with Senior software engineers, project engineers, and supporting organizations to ensure successful software project execution.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with internal stakeholders
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with Collins development processes and standard work requirements.
