Software Engineer I (.NET MVC) Company Summary: Phigenics provides independent expert guidance and advanced technologies to our clients to improve the efficiency, effectiveness and overall safety of water systems . Our clients include a diverse mix of industry leaders in healthcare, hospitality, government, higher education, retail, and manufacturing facilities. Position Summary: The Software Engineer I is responsible for developing software programming applications based on defined user/business requirements. As a Software Engineer I, this individual will be part of a dynamic team that takes pride in creating highly scalable, user friendly, and responsive SaaS applications.

Requirements

  • Associates or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related degree.
  • 1 - 3 years of Professional IT experience.
  • The ideal candidate should have experience with one or more of the following technologies: C#, ASP.NET MVC (preferably MVC 5 or later), Entity Framework, JavaScript, jQuery, CSS, Bootstrap, and SQL Server .
  • Working knowledge of object-oriented programming - C# or similar.
  • Working knowledge of relational databases - MS SQL Server or similar.
  • Working knowledge of JavaScript libraries - jQuery, etc.
  • Experience with HTML and building responsive user interfaces.
  • Must be a Green Card or US Citizen and be located in the US.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with modern .NET versions (such as .NET 6 or .NET 8) is a plus.
  • Familiarity with Python is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Under the guidance of experienced Software Engineers, work on different software development tasks.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, as well as collaboratively within a team-oriented environment.
  • Troubleshoot and address issues in a timely manner .
  • Maintain and add new functionality to existing software applications.
  • Write code that is well written with minimal bugs.
  • Cross-functional collaboration with other departments within the organization to achieve optimal results.
  • Adhere to processes in place.
