The Role We’re hiring Forward Deployed Engineers (FDEs) who thrive at the intersection of software engineering, customer impact, and problem-solving. As an FDE, you’ll own the technical success of our largest enterprise accounts, deploying Greenlite’s platform, integrating with customer systems, debugging production issues, and building reusable solutions that shape our core product. This is not a sales engineering role. You’ll write production-grade code, solve real integration problems, and act as the trusted technical partner for fintech teams at billion-dollar companies. You’ll be successful if: Customers say “I trust [your name] to fix anything.” You turn customer frustration into loyalty through fast, empathetic problem-solving. You translate messy requirements into clean, reusable product features and can build 0 to 1 features fast. You love solving open-ended problems, asking good questions, and structuring solutions without needing perfect specifications upfront. You understand the broader system you're working in—not just what the AI does, but how it fits into the customer's full workflow.

  • Build custom integrations with customer systems (APIs, webhooks, data pipelines).
  • Design and deploy architectures for high-volume environments
  • Triage and debug production issues across customer deployments.
  • Implement customer-specific extensions that don’t yet belong in the core platform.
  • Communicate with customers directly.
  • Be the customer’s voice inside Engineering and Product.
  • Identify patterns and push for upstream improvements.
  • 4+ yrs (Engineer) / 6+ yrs (Sr. Engineer) / 8+ yrs (Staff Engineer) of production engineering experience
  • Strong fundamentals: APIs, distributed systems, data modeling
  • Hands-on experience with ETL/ELT, SQL, and cloud infrastructure
  • Excellent debugging skills and a systematic approach to problem-solving
  • Strong written and verbal communication — comfortable with both engineers and compliance teams
  • Ownership mindset and comfort working directly with customers
  • Languages: TypeScript/Node.js (primary), Python (nice to have)
  • Infrastructure: REST APIs, PostgreSQL/Supabase, workflow engines (Temporal/Airflow/Prefect)
  • DevOps: Git, Docker, monitoring (Datadog), CI/CD tools
  • Experience in fintech, compliance, or AI-driven data systems
