Lockheed Martin Rotary & Mission Systems is seeking a full-time Early Career Software Engineer. This position is for the Tactical Environment Simulation (TES) of the F-35 Pilot Training Device. The TES provides the threat environment for the F-35 simulator, to include weather, red and blue threats, simulated communication networks, and other features that bring a training mission to life for the pilot. In this role, you will: Design, develop, and test software products across the full development life cycle Participate in the Agile development process with the team Support debugging and issue correction activities of our software product The successful candidate will have experience and/or knowledge of engineering principles and practices, familiarity with C++ programming, familiarity with Linux and bash scripting. Must be a US Citizen.; This position will require a government security clearance.; This position is located at a facility that requires special access.

Requirements

  • Bachelors of Science in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or equivalent STEM related field.
  • Experience programming in C++
  • Experience working in Linux
  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • This position will require a government security clearance.
  • This position is located at a facility that requires special access.

Nice To Haves

  • Bash scripting experience
  • Experience with Git
  • Experience working with virtual machines
  • Experience with DevSecOps, especially continuous integration pipelines
  • Experience with full software development lifecycle (can be from university projects)

Responsibilities
