About The Position

As part of the Lockheed Martin community, the Rotary and Mission Systems business is seeking a software engineer for the software development of tactical applications. In this role, the engineer will design, integrate, and test tactical components that enable prototyping of new ship designs, evaluation of system performance, and system verification. The position requires close collaboration with cross-functional teams in radar, sensor management, threat evaluation, and weapon control to ensure accurate representation of functional controls and track-processing logic. This role is located at a facility requiring special access and a U.S. DoD security clearance. Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science or Computer engineering, or equivalent with minimum 2 years' professional experience
  • Proficient with software development using C++
  • Experience with the full software development lifecycle, including design, development, testing, build, and release
  • Familiarity with version control systems, such as Git
  • Experience with software testing and integration
  • Ability to obtain & maintain a U.S. DoD security clearance at the SECRET level
  • Must be a US Citizen for consideration

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working in an Agile development environment
  • Knowledge of containerization using Docker and orchestration using Kubernetes
  • Familiarity with shell scripting
  • Understanding of DevOps principles and practices
