Bandwidth is seeking a Software Development Intern for Summer 2026 to join their Messaging Team. The ideal candidate is eager for real-world experience, enjoys building and learning new things, and aspires to become a great engineer. The intern will be assigned a dedicated mentor from the Messaging Team who will provide close guidance, review work, and support their technical growth throughout the internship. The company hopes the intern will return for a full-time position upon graduation. The role involves writing code for next-generation text messages using SMS, MMS, and over-the-top applications like WhatsApp and Facebook.

Requirements

• Working towards a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or an equivalent course of study
• You love to solve problems
• You enjoy designing efficient and intuitive solutions
• You thrive in a team environment
• You have practical programming skills to write clean and testable code
• You are comfortable working with Java and databases

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain customer facing APIs
• Participate in code reviews
• Contribute to architecting software to build new solutions for our customers
• Collaborate with product manager & software engineering team to efficiently prioritize and deliver message provisioning software
