As a member of AWS AFX - Planning Tools team, you will shape the AWS business's direction as a whole. The candidate must be customer-obsessed, have strong analytical and communication skills, enjoy working with native AWS services, and thrive on solving challenging business problems. You will design and build scalable platforms that enable AWS to sell new products and services with the necessary speed to market. We’re building a new product for our AWS sales organization. You’ll have an opportunity to learn new skills while you contribute to a full-stack web application using micro front-ends, microservices, React.js, and Node.js. Requirements

3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
2+ years of programming using a modern programming language such as Java, C++, or C#, including object-oriented design experience
Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent

Nice To Haves

Master's degree in computer science or equivalent
Experience scripting languages and coding skills for one (1) or more of the following: Ruby, C/C++/C#, Node.JS, Java, Python, and PHP
Experience with AWS Services including EC2, Lambda, S3, DynamoDB, SQS
Experience with jQuery, Node.js, and modern JavaScript frameworks such as React, Redux, Ractive, Ember, or Angular, along with the knowledge of when to use them
AWS certification, such as, AWS Solutions Architect, or a similar cloud certification
1+ years of agile software development methodology experience

Responsibilities

Write, test and deploy code using Amazon and AWS tools.
Perform technical analysis, design, development, implementation of applications.
Participate in the planning and analysis of requirements for system enhancements, translating requirements into well-architecture solutions.
Troubleshoot and fix defects for planned releases and production issues.
Work with a cross-functional Scrum team and product manger to maintain and enhance products and services.
Participate in on-call rotation.
