About The Position

We are looking for a motivated intern to join our team to develop an application that parses data log files and integrates them into our existing Discover FDC application. This role involves building a universal, configurable solution, validating results, and enabling database-driven configuration with auditing capabilities. This position is located in Milpitas, CA.

Requirements

Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
Familiarity with Java, Python, databases (SQL), Visual Basic, .NET, C#, Node.js
Knowledge of web development technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript)
Understanding of CSV and XML files structure and parsing
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
Ability to learn new technologies quickly and apply them effectively
Ability to work independently and collaborate in a team environment
Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with employees and management
Ability to comply with all safety policies and procedures
Demonstrated prioritization and organizational skills
Demonstrated time management skills
Demonstrated problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
Flexible and able to prioritize

Responsibilities

Design and develop an application to parse data log files and feed them into the Discover FDC app
Ensure the solution is universal and easily configurable for different log file types
Validate and test parsed results, then apply them to the existing Discover FDC application
Gain a solid understanding of Discover FDC functionality and its role in manufacturing processes
Work with databases to enable dynamic configuration of parsing rules and actions
Implement an auditing mechanism to detect and alert changes in data log files
Partners with other team members or groups to share knowledge and learnings
Prepares end of internship report and presentation
Adheres to all safety policies and procedures as required
Performs other duties of a similar nature or level
