About The Position

We are looking for a motivated intern to join our team and work on developing a web-based solution for configuring FDC (Fault Detection and Classification) specifications. This role offers hands-on experience in web development, database integration, and understanding industrial automation systems. This position is located in Milpitas, CA.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
  • Knowledge of web development technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript)
  • Familiarity with Visual Basic, .NET, C#, Node.js, Python, databases (SQL)
  • Understanding of XML structure and parsing
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to learn new technologies quickly and apply them effectively
  • Knowledge of REST APIs and data exchange formats (XML, JSON)
  • Knowledge of and ability to use MS Office, including Word, Excel, Power Point, and Access to analyze data, create documents, spreadsheets, and presentations
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate in a team environment
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with employees and management
  • Ability to comply with all safety policies and procedures
  • Demonstrated prioritization and organizational skills
  • Demonstrated time management skills
  • Demonstrated problem-solving and trouble shooting skills
  • Flexible and able to prioritize

Nice To Haves

  • Experience or interest in Spotfire for data visualization is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Develop a web application that allows users to configure FDC specifications
  • Implement user input functionality through the web interface to generate XML configuration files
  • Validate test results and apply updates to the existing Discover FDC application
  • Gain a deep understanding of how Discover FDC works and its integration with manufacturing processes
  • Work with databases to retrieve appropriate actions required for FDC spec configuration.
  • Partners with other team members or groups to share knowledge and learnings
  • Prepares end of internship report and presentation
  • Adheres to all safety policies and procedures as required
  • Performs other duties of a similar nature or level
