About The Position
Join the Sensing and Connectivity team to work on Location Technologies that power critical experiences in Apple products. We build highly innovative and deeply impactful location features based on the core wireless technologies such as GNSS, Cellular, Ultra Wide Band (UWB), WiFi and Bluetooth. These are used across many of our products and are the foundation of Maps Navigation, Fitness applications u0026 Emergency Text via Satellite - among many more. We're looking for an individual to help us build automation infrastructure, automated tests, and tools to enhance our quality assurance processes and deliver the best location experience for our customers. The Software Location Quality team undertakes special projects for the Sensing and Connectivity groups at Apple. These projects have ranged from developing data crowdsourcing systems to prototyping apps u0026 features for future OS releases. We are looking for an engineer with a deep understanding of GNSS / Cellular location technologies and the possibilities such technologies hold for improved positioning and fitness use-cases. Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to thrive in a reciprocal environment
Requirements
- Excellent knowledge of chipset validation lifecycle, testing methodologies, and testing tools
- Knowledge of GNSS / Cellular location simulations required for functional u0026 performance validation
- Experience in debugging GNSS logs to triage and root-cause issues ,with development of custom analysis scripts considered a plus
- Ability to drive cross-functional communications and understanding dependencies while also ensuring a tight timeline can be maintained
- Experience in design and development of automated test harnesses u0026 data analysis tooling
- Prior experience of working in fast-paced, agile environment, with flexibility to pivot easily to support new user requirements
- Knowledge of machine learning algorithms and novel genAI techniques that can be leveraged for automation and analysis
