As Software Engineer within PNC's Tempus Technologies organization, you may be based in a remote location. This role supports the design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance of software solutions across the full project lifecycle. The engineer works collaboratively within a team, contributes to technical design decisions, and delivers high-quality, maintainable code using established and emerging technologies. Develops, tests and implements software solutions. Designs software solutions to address business needs. Writes code, tests and deploys software. Prepares technical and procedural documentation required for software. Maintains and debugs software.

Requirements

  • Strong experience with Java, .NET, and/or Delphi
  • Understanding of application design, architecture, and SDLC processes
  • Experience with application testing and quality assurance practices
  • Ability to support, enhance, and maintain existing applications
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team environment
  • Technical troubleshooting and problem-solving capabilities
  • Bachelor's degree (or comparable combination of education, job specific certification(s), and experience)
  • 2+ years of relevant professional experience

Responsibilities

  • Design, code, test, deploy, and maintain software solutions
  • Translate business requirements into technical designs and working applications
  • Debug, troubleshoot, and support production systems
  • Participate in project lifecycle delivery, including deployments
  • Create and maintain technical and procedural documentation
  • Collaborate effectively with teammates and mentor newer developers
  • Provide accurate estimates for well-defined development tasks
