About The Position

Noblis is seeking an experienced Software Developer with an active Top Secret security clearance in Bridgeport, WV or Huntsville, AL. You would join our team as a Software Developer to support a law enforcement program that engages with clients and end users to design, create, deploy, migrate and maintain digital solutions that are transforming the way law enforcement and intelligence communities handle, process, analyze, visualize, and translate information into actionable information.

Requirements

  • Active Top Secret clearance with the ability to obtain SCI.
  • US Citizenship is required.
  • Bachelor of Science in Technology, Engineering, Computer Science, or related field, and a minimum of 5 years of related experience OR Master’s Degree in Technology, Engineering, Computer Science, or related field, with 3+ years of experience.
  • Possess hands-on experience and ability to develop microservice system architecture with:
  • Scripting and programming languages like Java, Javascript, and HTML/CSS
  • Development frameworks like Vue.js and Spring Boot
  • Messaging or caching systems like Redis or Kafka
  • Relational or NoSQL databases like PostgreSQL, Cassandra, or Elasticsearch
  • Version control systems and CI/CD tools such as Git and Gitlab and container orchestration platforms such as Docker and Kubernetes
  • Front-end, back-end, and/or full stack experience and the ability to work some or all tasks across the software development lifecycle – including database, backend services, APIs, web frontend, migration/deployment scripts, tests, and documentation
  • Working knowledge of Agile software development frameworks (Scrum and SAFe) and have hands on experience with continuous integration, continuous delivery practices.
  • Hands-on experience with writing and maintaining automated tests (unit, integration, stress, load, etc.)
  • Willing to support the client on-site with hybrid option as tasking allows.

Responsibilities

  • Provide engineering and technical support in areas of design, development, engineering, research, evaluation, deployment, integration, and maintenance of software and systems, whether on the front-end, back-end, or as a full-stack.
  • Write application code, automated tests, and inform deployment procedures.
  • Conduct design and code reviews, participate in daily scrums, retrospectives, and other agile ceremonies.
  • Coordinate with the development team to support QA/QC and troubleshooting activities.
  • Apply advanced technical expertise to design, implement, and optimize systems, processes, and technologies.
  • Provide assistance monitoring and resolving issues with deployed systems.
  • Lead and manage complex projects from initiation to completion, ensuring timely delivery, quality, and adherence to project goals.
  • Make key decisions that shape project direction and influence over business and project strategy, aligning client goals.
  • Drive innovative solutions and creative problem-solving to address challenging issues and enhance project outcomes.
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to junior staff, fostering growth and development through coaching, feedback, and hands-on support.
