About The Position

This position reports into our office in Champaign, IL location. Local candidates preferred. However, we may consider hybrid/remote work arrangements. Typical pay for this position is $80,000-$100,000 annually. The final offer for this position will be based on the unique experience and qualifications of the candidate selected. This position may also be eligible for a bonus not included in the base pay range. We are seeking an experienced Unreal Engine developer with a history of successfully shipped titles. You’ll create new applications to complement our class-leading portfolio of Radio Control (RC) Air and Surface vehicles. Use your game-development skills to work with the premier hobby brands in the world to bring products into compelling digital experiences. As a part of a small team, you will have the opportunity to work on every aspect of the software package and watch with pride as it releases into the market.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience with Unreal Engine development, primarily UE5
• Strong proficiency with C++ and C++ integration into Unreal Engine
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Nice To Haves

• Experience and/or interest in RC hobby vehicles

Responsibilities

• Build simulation and visualization features for Unreal Engine 5 applications
• Build new features and correct bugs within existing software products
• Develop build pipelines targeting multiple hardware platforms
• Work with QA and Production to address any issues encountered along the release process
• Test fixes and features completed by other developers when appropriate
• Develop code to interface with HID hardware
• Operate under source control
• Communicate clearly through issue-tracking systems and other channels
