Established in Germany in 1988, dSPACE now employs over 2,800 people worldwide. dSPACE Croatia, founded in 2018, is an integral part of the global R&D department, with over 220 employees in Zagreb, Osijek, and remote locations, collaborating closely with German teams on innovative development projects. This position is for a Software Developer to join one of their agile Scrum teams, focusing on the VEOS product. VEOS is a critical simulation platform used for validating automotive ECUs, particularly in complex applications such as driver assistance systems and autonomous driving. It enables the simulation of diverse models, including functional models, networks of virtual ECUs, bus systems, and vehicle models, early in the development process and with high scalability. The platform demands reliable results across various hardware and operating systems, including Linux-based ECUs in modern vehicle architectures. The role involves contributing to a SAFe-organized Agile Release Train within an international and decentralized team.

Requirements

• Successfully completed degree in computer science or engineering, or other comparable technical/scientific training
• Very good knowledge and several years of experience in software development with C/C++ and Python
• Experience in software development under Linux
• Strong analytical and independent work style

• Very good English

Nice To Haves

• Creating and using container technologies (e.g. Docker)
• Open-source projects such as the Linux kernel and QEMU
• Automotive standards such as AUTOSAR

Responsibilities

• Conceive, design, implement, and test high-quality software for simulation
• Customer-oriented and independent development of innovative solutions for the validation of POSIX-based ECU software
• Application of current technologies and development environments, including: Git, C/C++, Python, CI/CD pipelines (Microsoft® Azure® DevOps), container environments, Microsoft Visual Studio Code®
• Contributing to the continuous improvement of development-related CI/CD processes
