Our Spark Internship Program is a hands-on, 10-week experience running from June 2 to August 7, 2026. Interns work 30 hours a week. This program is designed for students and recent graduates who can work from our Omaha, Nebraska office during the summer. Housing is not provided. You will join a class of interns across multiple departments, work closely with talented Qwirks, and experience what thriving teams look like.

The Software Developer Intern role helps our product team by developing new features, fixing bugs, helping with QA, and researching tools and patterns to improve our tools and processes.

Requirements

• Majoring in Information Technology, MIS and/or Computer Science.
• Experienced with object-oriented programming, SQL databases, and web technologies (JavaScript, HTML, etc.).
• Skilled at communication and developing documentation.
• Able to use independent judgment and discretion, requiring minimal supervision.
• Highly attentive to detail and organization.
• Someone who enjoys troubleshooting and helping others.
• Work Authorization: Candidates must be currently authorized to work in the United States and must not require visa sponsorship now or in the future.

Responsibilities

• Act as part of a cross-functional team, working with developers, designers, quality analysts/engineers, and product owners to bring prototypes to production.
• Support our software by fixing bugs, improving performance, and contributing to documentation.
• Write awesome code, be you, revel in work.
