About The Position

PeopleTec is currently seeking a Software Developer to support our Huntsville, AL location. PeopleTec is currently seeking a highly motivated, self‑driven software developer who excels at building end‑to-end solutions while simultaneously mastering DevOps practices to support our Huntsville, AL, location. The ideal candidate will be comfortable moving seamlessly between front‑end and back-end code, configuring virtualized infrastructure, and leveraging modern container and automation tooling. You will work closely with onsite teams, debug integration issues in real time, and will be required to hold, or obtain, a security clearance to access sensitive data and systems.

Requirements

  • Ability and willingness to sit on the customer site
  • Develop front-end solutions using React, Angular, Vue, or similar frameworks
  • Build back-end services using Java (Spring Boot), C# (.NET Core), Node.js, Python, or Go
  • Configure and manage Git repositories and issue tracking in Jira
  • Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Bamboo or equivalent tools (Jenkins, TeamCity)
  • Manage binary and artifact repositories using Artifactory (JFrog)
  • Deploy, configure, and maintain virtual machines and environments using VMware vSphere
  • Build, test, and deploy containerized applications using Docker
  • Orchestrate multi-container workloads using Docker Compose, Kubernetes, or OpenShift
  • Collaborate with onsite teams to support system integration and live troubleshooting
  • Follow security best practices and support compliance requirements
  • Maintain or obtain required security clearance within specified timelines
  • Continuously evaluate and adopt emerging technologies, including AI/ML tools such as Ollama
  • Produce clear technical documentation and participate in code reviews
  • Mentor junior developers and contribute to knowledge transfer
  • 3+ years of professional full-stack web development experience
  • 2+ years managing end-to-end CI/CD pipelines
  • 1–2 years administering virtualized environments
  • 1–2 years building and deploying containers
  • Familiarity with Ollama or similar LLM frameworks
  • Willingness to learn and apply AI/ML tools
  • Current or obtainable clearance
  • Must be able to obtain clearance within 90 days of hire
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to collaborate effectively onsite
  • Strong problem-solving skills under time pressure
  • An active DoD TS/SCI clearance is required to perform this work. Candidates are required to have an active Secret clearance upon hire, and the ability to get a TS/SCI level of clearance during their employment.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT, or related field
  • Equivalent professional experience accepted
  • Minimum of 3 years of professional software development experience

  • Experience with Kubernetes, OpenShift, and Helm charts
  • Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, and GCP
  • Familiarity with Infrastructure-as-Code tools (Terraform, Pulumi)
  • Experience orchestrating complex, multi-container workloads
  • Familiarity with AI/ML tooling such as Ollama
  • Experience with AI/ML inference pipelines (TensorFlow, PyTorch)
  • Prior experience supporting regulated environments (Defense, Healthcare, Finance)
  • Experience working in hybrid or secure on-prem environments
  • VMware Certified Professional (VCP)
  • AWS Certified Developer

  • Demonstrated adaptability and continuous learning mindset
  • Experience mentoring junior developers
