About The Position

Join the Lockheed Martin Automated Weight and Balance System Team as a Configuration and Data Management (CDM) Engineer! This role is ideal for someone who thrives on structure, precision, and continuous improvement. You'll ensure consistency across software, systems, and documentation baselines, enabling seamless collaboration throughout the software development cycle. As a CDM Engineer, you will be at the intersection of engineering and process control, maintaining configuration integrity through disciplined versioning, data management, and process automation. What You Will Be Doing The Software Configuration Management Engineer's responsibilities include: Develop, implement, and maintain configuration plans and procedures in compliance with organizational standards Establish and maintain configuration baselines, track change requests, and oversee release management Administer and optimize configuration management tools including Git. Establish and manage engineering data and documentation repositories for traceability, accuracy, and compliance. Coordinate and facilitate change control boards (CCBs) and ensure timely resolution of engineering changes. Identify opportunities for process automation and improvement to streamline configuration and documentation workflows. This position is primarily telework, though the individual must reside in the vicinity of Hill AFB. Relocation assistance may be available. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in software engineering or a related engineering discipline and 3 years of professional experience in software configuration management or a master's degree and 1 year of related experience.
  • Strong understanding of version control systems and release management principles

Nice To Haves

  • Experience engineering software in C# or Swift
  • Experience with software test processes
  • Familiarity with AS9100
  • Experience with software quality engineering or process improvement
