About The Position

The Software Asset Management Analyst is responsible for managing and optimizing the organization’s software assets throughout their lifecycle. This role ensures compliance, cost efficiency, and operational excellence by maintaining accurate records, monitoring renewals, and supporting IT teams with licensing and software-related processes.

Requirements

  • Strong analytical and reporting skills using Excel and BI tools.
  • Knowledge of CMDB, Intune, and ITAM workflows.
  • Excellent communication and vendor management skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 3+ years in Software Asset Management, IT Asset Management, or related IT operations.
  • Hands-on experience with ServiceNow, Power BI, and licensing portals (Microsoft, Adobe, SaaS platforms).

Nice To Haves

  • ITAM or SAM certifications (e.g., ITIL, IAITAM)

Responsibilities

  • Maintain dashboards and recurring reports from diverse data sources to track software asset management activities, master application listings, and ITAM workflows.
  • Create ad hoc and custom reports using ServiceNow, Power BI, and Excel, incorporating data from CMDB, Intune, and other sources.
  • Monitor all software renewals and new purchases to ensure timely processing and compliance.
  • Interact with primary vendors for purchases, renewals, and licensing research to support IT Asset Management initiatives.
  • Perform administrative roles and daily monitoring for licensing portals including Microsoft, Adobe Admin/Adobe Sign, ServiceNow, FreshService, and other SaaS platforms.
  • Handle tickets for user software requests, engaging with users and managers to ensure appropriate usage and high customer satisfaction.
  • Conduct regular assessments for licensing compliance, utilization reporting, and optimization of software assets.
  • Collaborate with other IT areas such as Desktop Engineering, IT Implementation, Security, Tech Support, and Executive Support as needed.
  • Participate in ITAM improvement initiatives, inter-organizational teams, and promote Archwell Essentials software asset management services.
  • Comply with all company policies and procedures.
  • Maintain regular and punctual attendance.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
