About The Position

About the role Our Software and Data Intern will support both our application development and business intelligence work. You will be part of a medium sized Agile Scrum team that builds, supports, and enhances the systems and data solutions that power our business. This role is a fit for someone who wants hands on experience across data, reporting, and software development. This internship offers a flexible hybrid work schedule (Monday-Friday) located at our Home Office in Green Bay, Wisconsin. The hybrid work schedule is 3 days/week onsite at Home Office and 2 days/week from home. This is a paid internship with an hourly rate of pay: $18.75

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science , Business Administration, or a related field, with at least three semesters remaining. Students in an Associate degree program must plan to continue into a Bachelor’s program.
  • Foundational SQL skills or related coursework are strongly preferred.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently on assigned tasks and follow through.
  • Curiosity , attention to detail, and interest in learning both data and application development.
  • Reliable internet connection for hybrid work.
  • Approximately 15 to 20 hours per week during the school year.
  • Approximately 40 hours per week during summer and winter breaks.
  • Hybrid role with required onsite presence for collaboration and team ceremonies.
  • Valid driver's license, auto insurance (at least state minimum- more might be required), acceptable driving record per Schreiber Foods discretion, and vehicle that will ensure applicant can meet the travel necessities of the position are required.
  • Schreiber requires that an employee have authorization to work in the country in which the role is based. In the event, an applicant does not have current work authorization, Schreiber will determine, in its sole discretion, whether to sponsor an individual for work authorization. However, based on immigration requirements, not all roles are suitable for sponsorship.

  • Exposure to Python or a BI tool is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Use SQL /PLSQL in support of data analysis, data modeling, and application development tasks.
  • Gain exposure to BI tools and platforms including Oracle, Azure Databricks Spark, and Power BI or Tableau.
  • Learn application development fundamentals using Python, React, and modern cloud platforms such as AWS or GCP .
  • Contribute to team projects, daily Scrum activities, and real business deliverables.
  • Work with IT and business partners to understand requirements and help translate needs into working solutions.
  • Participate in system design discussions, troubleshooting, and team ceremonies.
