Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a technical or business discipline is required. Equivalent work experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
  • Basic knowledge of programming languages such as Java, C#, Python, or JavaScript, and understanding of object-oriented programming concepts.
  • Familiarity with the stages of software development, including design, coding, testing, deployment, and maintenance.
  • Basic understanding of software testing processes, including test case review, analysis, and participation in test witnessing and certification.
  • Ability to identify and resolve basic software issues or bugs.
  • Basic communication skills to comprehend, follow direction and convey detailed technical data.
  • Ability to develop and maintain good interpersonal relationships, work collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Good problem identification and problem resolution skills.

Responsibilities

  • Works from detailed programming specifications, designs, modifies, develops, writes and implements software-programming applications.
  • Participates in the testing process through test review and analysis, test witnessing and certification of software.
  • Supports and/or installs software applications/operating systems.
  • Provides resolution to a fundamental problem or seizes an opportunity that improves the satisfaction of a customer, user or provider.
  • Explains the financial impact of a solution or a decision to assist customers in complying with budget requirements.
