About The Position

7 Cedars Casino is hiring a Part-Time Soft Count Team Member. This role is responsible for the accurate counting, sorting, and documentation of gaming revenue while maintaining strict security and compliance procedures. The Soft Count Team Member ensures the integrity of the count process and compliance with gaming regulations. Is responsible for the daily counting of all Casino revenue. Prepares and prints required documentation and is responsible to deliver original paperwork to the Accounting Department. Native American hiring preference for qualified candidates.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Excellent cash handling skills and the ability to perform basic math functions required.
  • Ability to operate standard office equipment, including but not limited to, computers, telephone systems, calculators and copiers.
  • Must possess outstanding interpersonal communications skills to effectively interface with guests and/or team members.
  • Strong organization, prioritization and multiple-tasking skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
  • Highly adaptable with the ability to adjust to change in a positive manner.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior count room or money handling experience (casino or bank) preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the counting, verifying and strapping of high volume of currency.
  • Coordinates the count process for various revenue centers on scheduled days.
  • Works very close with others as part of a team.
  • Able to handle multiple priorities and tasks.
  • Balance revenue counted to cash turn-in sheets.
  • Ability to operate a variety of Soft Count equipment and technology (computer literate).
  • Responsible for contacting the IT Department and/or vendors for maintenance.
  • Ensure the integrity of all Soft Count transactions.
  • Held accountable to a high degree for accuracy and thoroughness of departmental paperwork.
  • Maintain confidentiality of all Casino operation data.
  • Maintain appearance standards as outlined in departmental and 7 Cedars policies.
  • Maintain a consistent, prompt and regular attendance record.
  • Communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
  • Be aware of Players Club benefits, property amenities and marketing programs.
  • Responsible for the general upkeep of the count room.
  • Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned.
  • Attend mandatory and non-mandatory training and meetings.
  • Must follow all safety rules and regulations.
  • Follow all general and department policies and procedures.
