About The Position

The purpose of this position is to provide first-line supervisory work over the Soft Count Room and the assigned staff. Ensure the count and recording of Drop Boxes are processed and handled according to the department policies, procedures, and regulations of the PTGRO. Salary range is based on skills and experience. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Two or more years of Soft Count experience.
  • One year of supervisory experience.
  • Must be able to stand for duration of your shift.
  • Must have manual finger dexterity.
  • Must be able to bend, reach, squat, and lift at least 25 pounds.
  • Must have the mobility to climb stairs on a regular basis.
  • Must be able to tolerate a smoke-filled environment.
  • Must be able to work in a locked, secured facility for extended periods of time.
  • All applicants must obtain and maintain a Class III A license as required by the Puyallup Tribal Gaming Regulatory Office and the Washington State Gaming Commission.
  • Pre-employment drug testing is required for all positions; marijuana use will not disqualify an applicant unless the role requires operating a company vehicle.

Nice To Haves

  • Some college or technical school training with emphasis in accounting or business management preferred.
  • 10-Key experience preferred.
  • Additional education or experience may substitute for minimum requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise, train, evaluate, assign and schedule work, interview and recommend hires, terminations, disciplinary actions, promotions, and approve leave requests.
  • Provide direction, assistance, guidance and orientation to Soft Count Clerks and Lead staff.
  • Ensure policies, procedures and regulations are complied with and in accordance with established processes.
  • Resolve issues, complaints and other Soft Count concerns in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Report to the manager any unresolved issues or concerns relating to the Soft Count Room operations.
  • Assist the manager with payroll processing, preparation of reports and documentations.
  • Oversee the sorting and counting of chips and currency and the preparation of chips and cash transfer to cage.
  • Approve the posting of gaming summary sheet information.
  • Participate in the development or revision of policies or procedures.
  • Perform back-up assistance to the manager as needed.
  • Perform the job functions of the Soft Count Clerks or Lead staff as needed.
