On Call - Soft Count Clerk
About The Position
The soft count clerk assists the Slot Team with early morning drop of the machines. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty described below satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. This job is team oriented, highly regulated and under constant observation. Soft Count Clerks must be dependable, able to follow instruction, and respond well to feedback. Clerks must demonstrate superior judgment, be responsible and be able to deal with others in a considerate, positive manner. This position requires attention to detail and involves repetitive actions and clerks must be able to lift up to 50lbs without restrictions. There are long periods of standing, regular bending and stooping are required. Soft count clerks process large volumes of cash and slot tickets. It is a casino environment exposed to bright lights, noise, changing temperatures and smoke. Wages depend on experience and longevity.
Requirements
- Good communications (reading/writing/speaking) in English
- Good basic Math skills
- Basic knowledge of ten key
- Basic computer skills and cash handling
- Must be at least 21 or older
- Must hold and maintain a License from the Nevada Gaming Control Board
- Fingerprinting and background check required for License, fees apply for this service
- Soft Count Clerks must always follow all NV Gaming Regulations and Reporting.
Nice To Haves
- Experience in count rooms is a plus but not required.
- Experience can be substituted for Education
