About The Position

This Supervisor position will oversee the inpatient social workers in the ICUs and general medicine floors. Oversee the delivery of clinical social work services and provide supervision to social work staff within a specific program area. Serve in a significant leadership role for the department and hospital. As a senior clinician, provide advanced clinical social work services to children with acute and chronic illness, their families, the staff of Seattle Children's Hospital and the community in a managed care environment. Lead in the promotion of culturally appropriate family-centered care and wellness of patients and families by identifying, interpreting, and reducing psychosocial factors contributing to illness. Rely on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals for staff.

Requirements

  • Masters Degree in Social Work (MSW) from a school of social work accredited by the Council on Social Work Education.
  • Five (5) years of post master’s experience, to include: experience in crisis intervention with children/families; multidisciplinary team experience; pediatric experience; experience supervising social work practice.
  • Paid or internship experience in health care or a clinical setting focusing on children and families.
  • Ability and flexibility to work evening, night, and weekend shifts as well as provide on-call coverage.
  • Washington State Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW).
