About The Position
Baptist is hiring for a Social Worker Manager position at Wolfson Children's Hospital in Jacksonville. This is a Full Time Day shift opportunity working Monday - Friday. The Manager of Pediatric Social Work leads a dedicated team focused on addressing the psychosocial needs of patient families. This includes providing emotional support, care coordination, trauma-informed care, and assistance navigating the medical system. The role also supports families in overcoming social determinants of health by connecting them with essential resources and services. A key function of this role is fostering strong communication and collaboration between families and medical teams.
Requirements
- A valid Florida LCSW is required for this role, registered interns will not be considered
- Over 5 years Social Work Experience
- 3-5 Years Supervisory Experience Required
- LCSW Certified Supervisors Required
- Licensed Clinical Social Worker Required
Nice To Haves
- The Clinical Supervision certification for supervising social workers working towards licensure is not required upon hire but will be required within the first 2 years of hire.
Responsibilities
- Lead and support a multidisciplinary team in delivering high-quality, family-centered psychosocial care.
- Oversee day-to-day operations of the pediatric social work department.
- Ensure effective care coordination and resource connection for patient families.
- Promote trauma-informed practices and ensure emotional support services are integrated into care planning.
- Serve as a liaison between families and clinical teams to ensure clear, compassionate communication.
- Manage department staffing, including hiring, training, supervision, and professional development.
- Monitor departmental budgets and support financial sustainability.
- Collaborate with hospital leadership and other departments to enhance care delivery and patient experience.
