Social/Video Producer (Part-Time)
About The Position
PEOPLE is looking for a talented social/video producer to create and program engaging, dynamic video content for TikTok and Instagram on the weekends (Saturday-Monday) during awards season (January-March). They will also assist in programming static content across all platforms, with the goal of driving traffic, for part of their shift. The right candidate is social-media savvy, an avid user and observer of industry trends. Strong news judgment, video editing and production skills, creative thinking and understanding of social media strategies and industry trends are essential. We're seeking someone who is able to generate viral wins for the brand and harness PEOPLE's loyal audience while attracting new followers. They should be a team player with excellent communication skills and a passion for entertainment, pop culture and online trends. They should be stepped in internet culture as well as the news cycle. They must have impeccable writing skills and attention to detail, and they should be available to work special hours for awards shows and other major live events as needed. Requirements
- Must be proficient in Adobe Premiere and Photoshop, with past experience programming TikTok and Instagram for a news brand.
- At least 2-3 years experience is required.
Nice To Haves
- Experience at a national news brand is preferred.
