About The Position

Long-Term Social Studies Teacher (25/26 school year) This lon-term vacancy is for a social studies teacher as part of a seventh grade team. Knowledge of CCSS and the ability to integrate literacy standards in social studies is necessary. Selects, designs and organizes objectives, strategies and materials for teaching social studies through an inquiry based model. Provides individualized and small group instruction to adapt the curriculum to the needs of the pupil based on data analysis. Establishes and maintains standards of behavior in the classroom and throughout the school to achieve a positive and functional learning atmosphere for students. Collaborates with all stakeholders to meet the needs of the students. Responsible for timely record keeping including grades and attendance. Responsible for all other duties as indicated on certified teacher job description. Completes all assigned tasks from Administration.

Requirements
