About The Position

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field and a valid Missouri teaching certification
  • 21 years or older
  • Able to pass state and federal background check and drug screen

Nice To Haves

  • Special Education certification preferred or willingness to obtain
  • Experience supporting students with significant academic gaps and behavioral challenges
  • Strong understanding of the behavioral components that impact learning
  • Patient, adaptable, and collaborative educator with excellent communication and classroom management skills, especially in small group settings

Responsibilities

  • Differentiated Instruction: Adapt lesson plans to accommodate varying ability levels and needs of students.
  • Academic Support: Provide necessary academic tools and resources to foster student learning and development.
  • Classroom Management: Manage student behavior effectively to create a conducive learning environment.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with clinicians and direct care staff to support students' academic and behavioral growth.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records and documentation as required by school policies and state regulations.
  • Compliance: Ensure adherence to state educational standards and requirements.
