Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field and a valid Missouri teaching certification
- 21 years or older
- Able to pass state and federal background check and drug screen
Nice To Haves
- Special Education certification preferred or willingness to obtain
- Experience supporting students with significant academic gaps and behavioral challenges
- Strong understanding of the behavioral components that impact learning
- Patient, adaptable, and collaborative educator with excellent communication and classroom management skills, especially in small group settings
Responsibilities
- Differentiated Instruction: Adapt lesson plans to accommodate varying ability levels and needs of students.
- Academic Support: Provide necessary academic tools and resources to foster student learning and development.
- Classroom Management: Manage student behavior effectively to create a conducive learning environment.
- Collaboration: Work closely with clinicians and direct care staff to support students' academic and behavioral growth.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records and documentation as required by school policies and state regulations.
- Compliance: Ensure adherence to state educational standards and requirements.
