About The Position

Under the general supervision of the School Principal, to develop students' knowledge about global and national social issues, understanding the geographical, historical, cultural and political factors that influence the development of world regions, and to develop students' skills in social studies, history, geography, American government, political science, or humanities to secondary pupils, utilizing core curriculum and other appropriate learning activities approved in the North Carolina Social Studies curriculum. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 18 semester hours of relevant coursework
  • 2.7 GPA (undergraduate coursework or post-graduate coursework)
  • Ability to produce an official, degree dated transcript from an accredited university
  • Former Lateral Entry license candidates are eligible to apply
