About The Position
Social Studies Instructor 2026-2027 School year; 186 contract days, 100% FTE Location: Mandan High School Position Summary: Mandan Public Schools is accepting internal applications for a High School Social Studies Instructor for the 2026-2027 school year. The position will instruct grade 9-12 Social Studies curriculum. Essential Functions: Essential functions, as defined under the Americans with Disabilities Act, may include any of the following representative duties, knowledge, and skills. This list is ILLUSTRATIVE ONLY, and is not a comprehensive listing of all functions and duties performed by incumbents of this class. Employees are required to be in attendance and prepared to begin work at their assigned work location on the specified days and hours. Essential duties and responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, the following: Instruction of Social Studies curriculum that includes geography, problems of democracy, current issues, AP dual credit U.S. History courses, and possible other social studies courses. Technology integration through the Canvas platform. Active participation in Professional Learning Community. Extra curricular assignment possible, not required.
Requirements
- Must hold appropriate license from the ND Education Standards and Practices Board.
Responsibilities
