About The Position

The Social Services Assistant provides supportive services to social workers, case managers, and clients. This role assists with administrative tasks, outreach efforts, and client referrals to ensure efficient and effective service delivery. Requirements

Minimum of six months of work experience in human services programs or public service.
Required to have a background check and child/adult maltreatment registry check.
Strong organizational and administrative abilities.
Excellent customer service and communication skills.
Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.

Nice To Haves

Experience with Microsoft Office Suite: Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
Effective communication both verbal and written.
Strong time management skills.

Responsibilities

Assist in client intake and service referrals.
Provide basic counseling and resource navigation.
Maintain accurate records and case documentation.
Support community outreach and public education initiatives.
Coordinate scheduling and follow-ups for client services.
Ensure the medical needs of foster children are met.
Collecting, tracking and maintaining medical records for foster children.
The employee may be called upon to transport children to medical appointments and coordinate with medical providers to ensure continuity of care.
