About The Position

Tutera Senior Living & Health Care is seeking a Social Services Assistant for Lakeland Rehabilitation and Healthcare. This role involves assisting the Social Service Coordinator and Social Workers in providing medically related social services so that each resident may attain or maintain the highest practicable level of physical, mental, and psychosocial well-being. The assistant will also promote a climate, policies, and routines that enable residents to maximize their individuality, independence, and dignity.

Requirements

A fire and passion for working with seniors
A flexible, fun, and energetic personality
Minimum of one year of experience of supervised social service experience in a health care setting working primarily with the geriatric population
Professional image in both appearance and behavior
Excellent written and oral communication skills

Nice To Haves

Social Service Certificate, or 36-Hour Social Service Designee Certificate
Minimum of two years of prior experience in a LTC/SNF/AL/MC setting

Responsibilities
