The New Yorker is seeking a social-media manager to promote the magazine's journalism across social-media platforms. The person in this role must possess excellent writing and editing skills, an ability to manage their work independently, and familiarity with and interest in the stories and issues regularly covered by The New Yorker. In addition to writing posts and creating design assets for social channels, the person in this role will crop photographs for Web articles, pitch and execute creative storytelling approaches, and manage other duties as assigned by the director of social media. The social-media manager will regularly cover weekends as well as some early mornings, late nights, and other assigned shifts. This is a Guild position.
