It is the brand that answers the question “What's for dinner tonight?” and draws people in with trustworthy, myth-busting tips and techniques as well as the stories behind iconic dishes and expert shopping recommendations. Bon Appétit and Epicurious reach millions of home cooks and food lovers across Bonappetit.com and the magazine, Epicurious.com, the Epicurious app, the BA podcast, live events, video, newsletter, and social platforms. The Social Media Manager plays a key role in the growth and success of the Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, Pinterest, and Twitter accounts for Bon Appétit and Epicurious, as well as any emerging platforms the brands expand onto. This role will be responsible for maintaining the brand voice, growing audiences across social platforms, and maintaining and increasing brand trust and loyalty on off-platform surfaces. The Social Media Manager has a keen understanding of social strategy, the ability to think outside of the box, and should have a knowledge and passion for cooking and food as well as how they intersect with all aspects of life and culture. This role reports to the Associate Director of Social Media. This role is in New York and is in-office four days a week.

Responsibilities

  • Project manages and leads Social strategies, in collaboration with AD of Social as well as Editorial leadership and Audience Development team members, for major Editorial priorities, ranging from day-to-day social strategy to tentpoles.
  • Leads recipe promotion strategy and manages recipe asset creation and curation.
  • Supports relationship management with external creators.
  • Handles day to day scheduling and posting and calendar management, including execution of social video posting across platforms.
  • Works with consumer revenue, CRM, and other cross-departmental stakeholders on subscription acquisition and retention strategies across social channels.
  • Handles and contributes to recurring Social reporting, including regular communication of learnings and insights to Editorial team.
  • Supports with framing and packaging of recipes and stories for promotion.
  • Openly collaborates and knowledge shares with other Social experts within Condé Nast to learn new strategies and approaches.
