About The Position

As a Social Media Intern with ACL Live at The Moody Theater and ACL Live at 3TEN, you'll engage in experiential learning at an iconic venue while supporting audience engagement and brand awareness through innovative social media content. You'll capture and edit video content, schedule and post content across social channels, research industry trends, and analyze social performance to maximize content creation. In collaboration with the marketing team, you'll help develop strategies to drive audience growth, repurpose and organize show content for broader distribution, and explore creative ways for artists to promote their work. As the ideal candidate, you bring enthusiasm for social media and content creation, strong video editing skills, an eye for trends, and genuine passion for live music.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program studying Music Business, Communications, Marketing, or related field
  • 1+ years’ completed coursework in Music Business, Communications, Marketing, or related field
  • Experience creating social media content, short-form videos, and social media trends
  • Effective interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Passion for entertainment, hospitality, and marketing
  • Able to take initiative on individual tasks while working collaboratively with a team
  • Positive, proactive, and eager to learn, with the ability to think on your feet and handle new challenges
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, and Asana
  • Strong working knowledge of social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, TikTok, Capcut)
  • Able to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays to experience full-cycle business operations

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with live social media and livestreams a plus

Responsibilities

  • Capture, edit, and post content for social media channels.
  • Track, collect, and analyze social media performance data, including reach, engagement, followers, and top-performing content. Provide insights to help optimize future content.
  • Research content ideas for all social channels with a primary focus on creating short-form content for Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok.
  • Assist in tracking house photography, ensuring all event photos are properly cataloged and accessible for marketing and press use.
  • Monitor social media feedback, questions, and comments, and work with leadership for appropriate responses and interaction.
  • Capture and edit live show content on-site, including real-time social media posting and major initiatives such as SXSW 2026.
  • Serve as a marketing representative at brand events, watch parties, and activations, while assisting with additional projects and performing other duties as assigned.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
