About The Position

The Social Media Fellow supports the execution of digital content strategies across social media platforms, including promotion and coordination of the Kevin Roberts Podcast. This position is responsible for assisting with social media campaigns, tracking performance analytics, and assisting with the production and execution of Heritage shows and content. This is a one-year, full-time fellowship.

Requirements

Progress towards a bachelor’s degree
Some experience in social media, marketing, or project coordination; familiarity with interactive and multimedia work including digital and social platforms.
Excellent writing skills, ability to condense complex information online.
Microsoft Suite, content management systems, and various social media platforms.
Understand and support the Heritage mission and vision for America, and the team’s goals and objectives.
Promote policies consistent with Heritage’s priorities; speak with one voice.
Possess strong organizational, planning, teamwork, and interpersonal skills.
Hard working, resourceful, and creative with the ability to meet tight deadlines.
Solid grasp of political and policy news and a keen understanding of how to create and promote compelling content around it.

Responsibilities

Assist with planning, executing, and tracking social media advertising budgets.
Monitor platforms to identify and amplify high-performing content.
Track key analytics and prepare reports on campaign performance.
Support the Kevin Roberts Podcast through scheduling, promotion, and content management.
Analyze podcast metrics, identify performance trends, and help implement promotion and audience engagement strategies.
Produce rapid-response content and create clips from Heritage events and products.
