About The Position

Under the direction of the marketing coordinator, this position will assist with the District’s social media accounts to promote and market classes, events and live shows.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of social media platforms and recreation/entertainment offerings in a community setting.
  • Knowledge of iPhones and apps.
  • All applicants must be fingerprinted and pass pre-employment background check.
  • Reliable transportation to and from work.
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
  • Ability to write simple correspondence.
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Knowledge of iPhone and social media sites/apps.
  • Knowledge of basic office equipment should include: Internet and email, copy machine.

Responsibilities

  • Creates simple graphics using Canva.
  • Creates basic social media content (Reels, TikToks) using CapCut or similar apps.
  • Attends live events (concerts, live theater shows, comedy nights, etc) to capture content.
  • Posts to social media during events (Instagram Stories and Facebook Live).
  • Creates Instagram captions (may use Chat GPT for assistance).
  • Assists District with keeping social media relevant and engaging.
