Job Description: HPE’s Global Communications team has more than 100 communicators across the globe – that advocate our corporate strategy, culture, reputation, and innovations. We are storytellers, creatives, producers and journalists; and the heart of HPE’s news engine. The Social & Digital Insights Manager is the analytical engine of HPE’s Global Social & Digital Communications organization. This role translates data into actionable insights that sharpen strategy, improve content performance across all channels, guide editorial planning, and demonstrate impact across the Newsroom, podcasts, executive thought leadership, and global social channels. You will partner with teams across Social Strategy, Digital Comms, Executive Comms, decisions are grounded in high‑quality analytics, trends, and performance intelligence. This role is ideal for a digital strategist who loves data, knows how to uncover what drives engagement, and can turn measurement into better storytelling, better experiences, and better results. Help cultivate a culture of measurement, testing, experimentation, and continuous improvement. You will also be an AI leader and expert for the team, driving us into new territory with AI use and tool adoption.

Requirements

  • 4+ years in analytics, digital marketing, social media, digital communications, or similar roles.
  • Experience with Sprinklr (required), Adobe Analytics, and internal dashboards (preferred).
  • Comfort working with data exports (CSV), building reports, and creating data visualizations.
  • Strong storytelling skills—able to turn data into meaning.
  • Understanding of organic social platforms, digital content performance, SEO, and audience behavior.
  • Familiarity with tagging governance, metadata systems, or content architecture.
  • Highly collaborative; able to work with multiple stakeholders across comms and marketing.

Responsibilities

  • Performance Insights & Reporting Develop regular reporting dashboards that showcase performance across channels, and allow for insights and growth. Translate complex data into simple, leadership‑ready narratives, visuals, and recommendations. Identify trends, content drivers, audience behaviors, and optimization opportunities.
  • Newsroom Analytics Leadership Own monthly, quarterly, and ongoing newsroom performance tracking using Adobe Analytics, Global Comms Metrics Tool, and maintaining performance comparison spreadsheet. Analyze article performance, trends, traffic patterns, search behaviors, and campaign/event spikes. Provide data‑driven input into editorial planning, story packaging, and cross‑channel amplification.
  • Social Media Insights & Measurement Partner with the Social Strategy team to evaluate performance across brand, tech, and advocacy channels (leveraging Sprinklr dashboards, UTM reporting, tagging architecture). Conduct periodic deep dives, including: Executive social presence Algorithm and content format testing Geo performance insights Topic/trend tracking Evaluate channel health—engagement rates, audience growth, community dynamics, sentiment, and listening insights.
  • Executive Social Thought Leadership Analytics Provide insights for executive social strategies and key moments (Earnings, Discover, Davos, AI House, etc.). Evaluate voice, influence, and content resonance across channels. Support performance reviews, narrative evolution, competitor benchmarking, and opportunity identification.
  • Podcast & Audio Performance Reporting Partner with the podcast team to measure episode performance, downloads, retention, and engagement. Provide insights to shape show strategy, guest selection, and cross‑channel promotion.
  • Tagging, Governance & Data Quality Management Govern the Communications Tag Manager architecture; maintain metadata standards; monitor Initiative ID adoption. Strengthen tagging rigor across Newsroom, social, and editorial channels to ensure accurate reporting. Partner with CommTech and DAM stakeholders to improve taxonomy and process adoption.
  • Ad‑Hoc Insights for Key Moments Provide rapid analysis for high‑visibility and time‑sensitive moments (earnings, major launches, SAM, events, Discover). Support x‑channel planning meetings (weekly + quarterly) with targeted insights that guide content sequencing and amplification.
