NASCAR seeks a talented professional to join in the position of Social Content Producer based in our Charlotte, North Carolina office. Summary The Social Content Producer is pivotal in crafting engaging and innovative social-first content for platforms like TikTok, YouTube Shorts, Instagram Reels, and the NASCAR mobile app. This role is responsible for ideating, shooting and editing pieces for our at-track coverage and brand features to highlight the sport and its drivers.

  • Possess a passion for social-first storytelling
  • Professional experience in video production, preferably with a focus on social media or digital content.
  • Strong understanding of the best practices for mobile-first content on TikTok, YouTube Shorts, and Instagram Reels.
  • Experience with motion graphics and visual effects using Adobe After Effects.
  • Familiarity with the sports industry, particularly motorsports.
  • A portfolio showcasing successful vertical video projects and innovative content strategies.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, produce, and edit social-first content that aligns with NASCAR’s brand and audience engagement strategies.
  • Play a key role in NASCAR’s at-track and event coverage, working in collaboration with the social media team to develop race weekend/event shot lists and traveling to races/events to produce, shoot and edit content, ensuring the vision is fully executed.
  • Create original off-track content for NASCAR, both short-form and long-form, that engages fans and showcases our sport and drivers in an exciting, entertaining and relatable way.
  • Engage in creative strategy planning to ideate and innovate new video formats and storytelling methods that resonate with our audience to grow and enhance the NASCAR brand.
  • Manage video projects from start to finish, producing, shooting and editing video content for NASCAR’s social channels, ensuring they meet quality, budget, and timeline requirements.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including social media, marketing, digital, and broadcast partners.
  • Stay current with the latest trends and advancements in vertical video and social media platforms and technology.
  • Utilize analytics tools to track video performance and engagement metrics, using data to refine and pivot content strategies effectively.
  • Regularly report on content performance metrics to superiors, providing insights and recommendations to drive strategic decision-making and optimize future content initiatives.
