Soccer League Coordinator
About The Position

As the Boys & Girls Club of Truckee Meadows celebrates its 50th Anniversary of serving our community, we are looking for a Soccer League Coordinator to oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of the Boys & Girls Club of Truckee Meadows soccer league. This role ensures a high-quality, safe, and engaging experience for all participants by overseeing league operations, including scheduling, volunteer management, communication, and program development. Soccer League Coordinator will create a fun, inclusive, and structured environment for members while building relationships with families, volunteers, and community partners. Our Mission: To enable all young people, especially those who need us most, to reach their full potential as caring, productive, responsible citizens.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Recreation, Sports Management, Education, or related field preferred.
- Experience working with youth in a sports or recreational setting required.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, able to communicate effectively with a diverse population, and represent BGCTM professionally to the community.
- Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Able to produce and provide data/reports in a timely manner.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to lead and motivate volunteers and create a positive team environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to function well in a high-paced environment.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
- Must be able to perform duties which require walking, talking, hearing, standing, sitting, and/or bending for long periods of time.
- May occasionally be required to kneel, run and/or climb.
- Must be able to use hands and arms to enter data into the computer, use the telephone and other office equipment.
- Must be able to perform surface and deep cleaning appropriately using potentially hazardous cleaners including bleach, as needed.
- Must be able to lift, move manipulate and or hold objects up to 45 pounds.
- Objects that exceed the 45-pound weight limit require additional assistance when moving, lifting or manipulating.

- You will need to provide 3 references. These references should be professional.
- You will also be asked to complete a drug screen, background check, and fingerprint check.
Nice To Haves
- Experience coordinating leagues, events, or volunteer programs preferred.
- Knowledge of soccer rules, league structure, and youth sports best practices preferred.
Responsibilities
- Support the recruitment, hiring process, training and onboarding for volunteer coaches and referees in partnership with Volunteer Coordinator
- Oversee daily league operations during practices and game days, including setup, supervision, and breakdown.
- Develop and implement strategies for participant recruitment, retention, and engagement.
- Maintain accurate records of attendance, participation, and program data; prepare reports as required or requested.
- Evaluate program quality and participant experience; implement improvements based on feedback and observations.
- Assist with special events, tournaments, and additional sports programming.
