About The Position

Job Summary: The Morning Snow Reporter’s primary focus is daily snow reporting via phone, radio, internet and social media. The successful candidate is able to work independently with the ability to organize and multi-task under the direction of the Marketing Team. Applicants must have excellent communication skills both verbal and written, effective organizational skills and constant attention to detail

  • Possess problem solving, multi-tasking and proactive skills
  • Be able to prioritize and handle stress in a calm, professional manner
  • Possess excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Courteous, friendly, and enthusiastic toward guests and other employees always
  • Willingness to work flexible schedules including multiple early morning (4:30 am) snow reporting duties
  • Ability to ski or ride at an intermediate level
  • Ability to move about the resort easily and comfortably through cold weather, ice and snow during a variety of weather conditions

Responsibilities

  • Accurately and efficiently report the daily snow phone, snow report, grooming map, websites, media screens and marketing snow reporting documentation
  • Understands the variety of snow conditions that exist with the ability to appropriately present information on these conditions to the public within the context of the snow report
  • Provide support with the Marketing Department’s goals and objectives
