The SNAP Employment and Training (SNAP E&T) Program Coordinator oversees the performance of Third-Party partner contracts and supports Local Departments of Social Services in their efforts to ensure that FSP recipients are equipped with the skills necessary to obtain and retain employment. The Program Coordinator will serve as the primary liaison between the Department of Human Services (DHS), the Maryland Department of Labor, the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA), Third-Party Partners, and other key stakeholders. The incumbent will lead the development of the annual SNAP E&T Plan, develop and implement technical assistance initiatives to support LDSS offices and project partners, and establish business processes (i.e. intake and enrollment protocol, invoice submission and protocol, etc.). The Program Coordinator will also be in charge of developing program manuals, planning and facilitate meetings, develop and coordinate the submission of program reports. The Program Coordinator will conduct monitoring visits and manage related corrective action plans. She or he will also manage a budget of $6-$10 million. In partnership with the Director of the Office of Nutrition Assistance Programs, the Program Coordinator will recruit organizations to join the agency’s Third-Party Partner Network.
