About The Position

The Snack Bar Supervisor assists management and is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the snack bar, including supervising staff, upholding food quality and safety, maintaining inventory, taking customer orders and ensuring a clean, organized working environment, all while adhering to company standards and procedures. The supervisor assists in cultivating a team environment that provides exceptional customer service while ensuring all staff members perform at a consistently high level. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Hires, trains and supervises snack bar staff, including assigning tasks and monitoring performance. Creates and manages staff schedules. Ensures that snack bar staff is following established procedures for setting up the snack bar at the beginning of a shift and cleaning up at the end. Preps and cooks food ensuring food quality and consistency is followed along with proper food handling procedures. Prepares and serves beverages as ordered. Monitors food and supply inventory levels and communicates with management for placing orders. Re-stocks food, beverages and other necessary supplies. Ensures that staff are following proper cash handling procedures. Maintains a clean and organized snack bar area. Inspects snack bar equipment regularly and reports any maintenance issues. Interacts with guests in a friendly and professional manner, addressing any guest questions or concerns. Notifies management of all unusual events, circumstances, or other safety and quality control issues. Performs other duties as assigned by management. Giants Ridge and managed by Guest Services is looking for a Snack Bar Supervisor to oversee daily operations, lead a team, and ensure smooth, high-quality guest experience in a resort-style environment. This position works between two different locations based on the season we are in. Bunkers, our snack bar located at The Legend Golf Course during summer operations and our Food Court during winter operations.

Requirements

  • High school diploma/G.E.D. equivalent preferred.
  • TIPS Certification or ability to obtain and maintain, required.
  • Food Safety Certification or ability to obtain and maintain, required.
  • General knowledge of industry standards regarding sanitation.
  • Speech recognition and clarity, including the ability to understand the speech of guests and coworkers and the ability to speak clearly so that you can be understood by guests and coworkers in English.
  • Excellent organizational skills, able to perform under time constrains and deadlines with attention to detail.
  • Ability to problem-solve and act as a team leader.
  • Ability to interact with a wide variety of people, including guests and coworkers.
  • Computer proficiency with the ability to use common business software applications such as Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to operate a point-of-sale (POS) system, including ability to consistently handle monetary transactions and end-of-day deposits.
  • Moving about on foot to accomplish tasks, particularly frequent movements from place to place within the unit.
  • Bend, lift, carry, reach/extend arms and hands above shoulder height frequently, or otherwise move in a constantly changing environment.
  • Lifting, carrying and pushing up to twenty-five (25) pound regularly, thirty (30) to thirty-five (35) pounds frequently, and up to fifty (50) pounds occasionally.
  • Ability to stand for the entire work day and to climb steps regularly.
  • Withstanding temperature extremes in indoor and outdoor environments.
  • Withstanding temperature extremes in freezer, refrigerator walk-in and grill areas.
  • Consistently communicates and receives verbal communication with other employees in fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends and holidays according to department needs.
  • Physical presence at the job site is essential to perform job duties.

  • Comfort with point-of-sale systems and basic computer applications.
