Job Summary To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add a full-time SMT Testing Engineer – 2nd Shift (2:00 pm – 11:00 pm) located in US Michigan Coopersville. Reporting to the Automation Manager the SMT Test Engineer – 2nd Shift, will be responsible for implementing and maintaining cost-effective methods of test for PCBA, Systems, Software, and/or Equipment. Will be focused on back end and testing of the existing manufacturing line. What a typical day looks like: Responsible for implementing solutions on critical items to propose to the customers and to keep in good health the failure inventories of the Repair, RMA and Manufacturing process. Interfaces and confers with engineering and technical personnel to resolve testing problems such as product or system malfunctions, incomplete test data, data interpretation or coding issues. Analyzes and interprets test data and prepares technical reports for use by electronic or software engineering. Perform PCBA and System level fault isolation/failure analysis down to component level. Uses computer software and hardware to conduct tests on electronic products and systems. Trains and instructs floor support, test technicians and test operators on test hardware and/or software, as well as proper problem-solving techniques. Resolves test yield problems by performing analysis of root causes, developing and coordinating corrective action measures and monitoring improvements. Create and maintain process documentation. Actively search for new technologies or procedures in the test sector. Determines conditions under which tests are to be conducted and sequences and phases of test operations The experience we’re looking to add to our team, Bachelor’s degree in electrical or electronic engineering (ideal/optional) – or - equivalent work experience (see below). 2+ years of SMT Test Engineer industry work experience from electronic device manufacturing company / industry or related. Demonstrated ability to perform in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Experienced in PCBA and System level testing, debug, verification, and failure analysis down to component level. most important Statistical Analysis capability that ability to perform data analysis and present to customer and/or management. Excellent communication (verbal and written), interpersonal, and organizational skills. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical or electronic engineering (ideal/optional) – or - equivalent work experience (see below).
  • 2+ years of SMT Test Engineer industry work experience from electronic device manufacturing company / industry or related.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Experienced in PCBA and System level testing, debug, verification, and failure analysis down to component level.
