About The Position

We are growing and looking for motivated individuals to learn our business and grow with us! Opening on Weekend Shift (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, 6:30am to 7:00pm) Surface mount technology (SMT) operators monitor and maintain any equipment used in establishing SMT electronic circuits. The task of SMT operators involves SMT machine operation to mount electronic components onto the circuit boards. They mount assembled components like resistors, capacitors, transistors, and integrated circuits on the chassis panel. Also, they collaborate with technicians and engineers on PCB's for critical defect data. Who are we? Founded in 1849, Ducommun is the oldest company in California. Requirements

  • Ability to read and understand load plans
  • Ability to read and understand production drawings
  • Basic component identification skills
  • Ability to build electronic assemblies
  • Abilities listed in General Requirements Team Members
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Must be capable of satisfactorily completing the training and certifications identified in training matrix.
  • See training matrix for facility specific training

Nice To Haves

  • Six months of printed circuit board assembly experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Load and assist with setup and staging of product on the SMT lines.
  • Perform setup and tear down on all feeders for all pick and place machines
  • Assist the operator in setting up and running all pick and place machines
  • Perform manual placement of SMT and PIH components
  • Adhere to General Requirements of Team Members
  • Perform other assignments as required
  • Responsible for the proper handling and management of hazardous waste generated in their work area.
