About The Position

The SMS Trading Account Manager is responsible for promoting, selling, and advertising VOX Solutions’ services while maintaining strong relationships with key accounts and partners. This role involves identifying new sales opportunities, executing market development strategies, and ensuring successful contract implementation with partners. Additionally, the SMS Trading Account Manager monitors and ensures the achievement of sales targets, contributes to market research, and supports commercial contracting efforts. This position plays a vital role in driving sales growth and sustaining long-term client partnerships.

Requirements

  • +5 years in SMS wholesale / trading / CPaaS in a commercial role (Account Manager, Business Development Manager, Carrier Manager, etc.).
  • Proven track record of bringing in new partners and growing existing accounts.
  • Strong network with global/regional aggregators, CPaaS platforms and/or enterprise messaging buyers.
  • Solid understanding of A2P SMS, SMS monetization, wholesale trading.
  • Strong commercial expertise.
  • Excellent relationship-building and stakeholder management skills, both externally and internally.
  • Negotiation and influencing skills, comfortable handling complex commercial discussions.

Responsibilities

  • Identify, approach and onboard new SMS aggregators and CPaaS providers in target regions and globally.
  • Reach and engage high-level contacts with the key partners and assist with the implementation of the contracts for partners.
  • Reactivate existing but under-utilized interconnections and signed / inactive partners.
  • Qualify opportunities, negotiate commercial terms (rates, volumes, commitments), and secure mutually beneficial agreements.
  • Take over and manage an assigned portfolio of already interconnected partners (e.g., major global aggregators, regional players).
  • Act as the primary commercial point of contact for your accounts: regular calls, QBRs, performance reviews, and escalation management.
  • Monitor traffic, volumes, DLR performance, quality KPIs and profitability; propose routing / commercial optimizations.
  • Build strategic account plans to increase the business across key destinations and MNOs.
  • Own the Profit & Loss of your portfolio, update forecasts for volumes and gross margin, and work closely with Routing and Procurement to align buy and sell rate strategies, route quality and stability, and actions needed to protect or improve margin.
  • Contribute to pricing proposals for new and existing routes, including adjustments when market conditions change.
  • Share market feedback (pricing trends, competitor behavior, brand demands) with management and product/solution teams.
  • Provide business inputs covering items such as price, quality of service, service features to message routing team.
  • Align with Operations leadership on strategy for traffic collection on exclusive MNO agreements vs. wholesale trading business.
  • Maintain clean documentation in CRM / internal tools: contacts, agreements, meeting notes, opportunities and risk flags.
