About The Position

Team Carney, a dynamic performance and professional development solutions company, is seeking an experienced SME Training and Development Manager with a background in Psychometrics. This professional will be tasked with measuring the validity, reliability and fairness of exam evolutions and evaluating the effectiveness of training programs for a government client. THIS POSITION IS CONTINGENT ON CONTRACT AWARD. THIS POSITION IS FULL TIME AND REMOTE (occasional travel to Northern Virginia office for meetings and planning sessions may be required)

Requirements

  • Current Public Trust clearance or the willingness to undergo a background investigation process
  • A minimum of 10 years experience as a Training Manager and/or Psychometrician
  • Current qualified psychometrician
  • Experience providing strategic advice, technical guidance and expertise to program and project staff
  • Experience providing detailed analysis, evaluation and recommendations for improvements, optimization development, and/or maintenance efforts for client-specific or mission critical challenges/issues
  • Experience consulting with clients to define need or problem supervises studies and leads surveys to collect and analyze data to provide advice and recommend solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Measure the validity, reliability, and fairness of an exam program.
  • Direct the process of creating valid and reliable tests/assessments.
  • Work with the Curriculum Designers, ISD's and Analysts to ensure proper assessment format, number of questions, and the levels of difficulty of the questions.
  • Determine and set the time allotted to take the test/assessment and make decisions about scoring, such as how many points to assign each question.
  • Work with the cadre/program SMEs to identify what a test taker/participant must know to be competent in the respective subject.
  • Ensure the test/assessment questions align to the Enabling Learning Objectives.
