About The Position

KeenLogic is seeking a SME Scientist (CBRN) to support Washington Headquarters Services (WHS) in delivering Facility Environmental Compliance, Planning, and Resiliency Technical Support across Department of Defense (DoD) facilities. This position is crucial for maintaining safe, compliant, and mission-ready environments by supporting emergency preparedness and response efforts related to chemical, biological, radiological, and nuclear (CBRN) incidents. The role encompasses planning and executing response and recovery operations, coordinating with federal, state, and local agencies, and contributing to threat assessments and mitigation strategies. The selected Subject Matter Expert will also offer specialized knowledge in health exposure risks, decontamination procedures, personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements, sampling and testing methodologies, laboratory analysis, and waste disposal. Active participation in drills, exercises, and the development of comprehensive CBRN plans is a key component of this 5-year contract position.

Requirements

  • Active Secret clearance
  • Bachelor’s degree in science or engineering OR Master’s degree in science or engineering
  • 15+ years of experience with a bachelor’s degree OR 13+ years with a master’s degree
  • Experience identifying agencies, providing meeting support, and coordinating activities
  • Experience writing CBRN plans and participating in drills and exercises
  • Experience assisting with threat assessments and mitigation strategies
  • Expertise in health exposure
  • Expertise in decontamination of personnel and facilities
  • Expertise in levels of personal protective equipment (PPE)
  • Expertise in sampling strategies and techniques
  • Expertise in field testing, laboratory analysis, and quality assurance
  • Expertise in clearance goals
  • Expertise in waste disposal

Responsibilities
