About The Position

ABOUT THE JOB In this role you will have the opportunity to collect and enter data, receive the bulk chemicals as well as maintaining cleanliness of the receiving dock and bulk room, and produce and test the SMC material that is used to make fiberglass skins. You will have the opportunity to interact with logistics team through receiving materials, gain insights to testing equipment and calibrations. You will also develop requisitions for the lab and materials needed for testing. YOUR ROLE: The bullet points below reflect roughly 80% of your job. We are a fast-paced company, you may be pulled in a variety of different directions with tasks added or changed. Safe work habits Lock-Out Tag-Out 5S / Good housekeeping of the area Ability/Willingness to obtain forklift operator license Comprehensive understanding of the sheet line operation: Operations of the mix room, machine operator and back up for the Festooner Operator. Doing quality checks, data entry of those quality checks, and make adjustments to glass choppers. Ability to obtain a forklift license. Understanding of hazardous materials & RCA training. Assist engineering with process improvements, data collection and trials. Assist with writing new and revising work instructions. Assist Quality team with calibration/repair Assist with training back-up techs on all tasks and updates on any changes to the process. Must be comfortable with working with many types of equipment and many different chemicals and substances. Responsible for general housekeeping of the lab and its surrounding areas including cleaning out of equipment such as the water baths. Ensure compliance under RCRA standards with all hazardous materials. May perform other duties as assigned. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS: High School Graduate/HSE or equivalent manufacturing experience Ability to obtain Forklift License Ability to be certified in all LOTO procedures for respective area Manage ambiguity while working through stressful situations Positive attitude and a willingness to work with others ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Fortune Brands believes in fair and equitable pay. A reasonable estimate of the base salary range for this role is Hiring Pay Range: $49,940 USD - $59,488 USD. Please note that actual salaries may vary within the range, or be above or below the range, based on factors including, but not limited to, education, training, experience, professional achievement, business need, and location.
