About The Position

Eaton Corporation is seeking a Product Manager to develop and drive the strategy and vision for their Single-Phase Endpoint UPS portfolio within the Distributed IT organization, part of the Electrical Sector - Americas business. Reporting to the 1PH UPS Product Line Manager within the D-IT business unit, this individual will be responsible for developing and driving the strategy for Eaton Tripp Lite Series Smart Online UPS and Healthcare product categories. This position can be based in either Woodridge IL, Raleigh NC, or Asheville NC. The expected annual salary range for this role is $97,000 - $143,000 a year. This position is also eligible for a variable incentive program with the target being 13%. Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution with a minimum of three (3) years of technical experience with single‑phase UPS systems or related technologies, or in lieu of a degree, ten (10+) years of technical experience with single‑phase UPS systems or related technologies.
  • No relocation is being offered for this role. All candidates considered must live within 50 miles of Woodridge, IL. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation

  • Advanced degree with focus on engineering, marketing, or business in Product Management or related field

  • Experience with SAP, Enovia, Office 365 Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI), CRM tools(Salesforce) is desired
  • Solid negotiation skills and knowledge of marketing techniques including experience in sales
  • Product management certifications

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement strategic plans for the product categories, including product development projects and marketing initiative, to achieve growth in orders and sales and maintain profitability of the product line.
  • Oversee the development and implementation of strategic short-term and long-term objectives and business plans for the product line. This includes achieving sales volume targets, market share gain, strategic pricing, pricing realization, profitability, and maintaining product quality standards.
  • Directs and oversees new product development and introduction of new products into the market by interfacing with cross functional teams within the organization.
  • Develops and owns product roadmaps and the execution of the product lifecycle.
  • Regularly participates in and reports out product line financials, forecasting, and performance to plan.
  • Collaborate closely with Sales, Marketing, Segments, Business Development, Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and Quality to drive continual product market growth.
  • Accountable for product line P&L; responsibility for volume, price, margin, and profit.
